How to Set Up Your Water Bubbler/Humidifier Combo for Ozone Therapy

Transcript

Hey everyone, my name is Colton and today I'll be setting up the water bubbler humidifier combo. The water bubbler humidifier combo is used for making ozonated water and performing humidified insufflations.

Before I begin, you will need your oxygen source and ozone generator ready to continue with the setup. If you still need to set up your oxygen source or ozone generator, please watch our videos on how to set those up first.

For this setup, I'll be using the 500ml water bubbler humidifier combo, but the setup for all the glassware for water will be the same. You'll need the flask, the stem, 3 ft of silicone hose, the ozone destruct system, and the 5 ft section of silicone with the check valve that was included with the ozone generator.

To begin, you want to fill your flask with distilled water or low mineral content water. We'll then place the stem into the flask. And at this point, we can take the 5 ft segment of silicone tubing with the check off connector set that's included with the generator and connect this end that has a fitting to the ozone out port of the generator.

We'll then take the other end of the tube and attach to the top segment of tubing on the stem.

Now, we will take the 3 ft section of tubing and attach one end to the lower connection coming off the stem. Now take the other end of the silicone tubing and attach it to this fitting on the end of the ozone destruct system.

With all these connections attached, your water bubbler is ready to be used. When making ozonated water, you'll have the off on the three-way valve of the ozone destruct system pointed at the fitting that has no tubing attached to it. To make ozonated water, you'll set your oxygen flow rate to 1/8 and power on your ozone generator with its dial set to the highest setting. For 500 ml of water, you'll let this bubble for 15 minutes. After that time has elapsed, you can then power down your ozone generator and turn off your oxygen source. You will also want to disconnect the tubing from the ozone output to help prevent the backflow of water into the generator.

At this point, you can now use your ozonated water.
