People are becoming more aware of the dangers of added Fluoride (Hydrofluosilicic Acid) and high concentrations of natural fluoride in drinking water. It is known that the type of Fluoride that is added to public water is a raw untreated hazardous waste from the phosphate fertilizer mining industry. The waste is straight from the pollution scrubber systems of the phosphate mines and is highly contaminated with arsenic, lead and a potpourri of other heavy metals.
We offer you a solution to remove up to 95%+ Fluoride from your drinking water (as long as your fluoride level is 1.5ppm or below). This system will also remove arsenic, lead, chlorine and most heavy metals.
How does the whole house Fluoride removal system work?
We use Bone Char (charred animal bones) as a fluoride removal media. Bone Char has been proven effective to remove fluoride from water. Widely use in Europe, Africa and India, bone char is the only media that works without being affected by water temperature swings and pH. One reason bone char is effective is because Fluoride has an affinity to attract to the bone. Africa and India have very high concentrations of naturally occurring fluoride. But bone char is effective in removing any type of Fluoride.
Removal Specifications for Bone Char:
Bone char is designed to remove fluoride levels as high as 10 ppm to below 0.2 ppm as long as they are sized according to these standards. If you have the normal level of fluoride in municipal water (0.7 - 1.0ppm) we highly recommend a minimum of four 20" filters if your system has a maximum flow of six gallons per minute.
