Cabinet Design
The design, shape and size of this sauna system were derived directly from the form of the human body. The shape of an average human being sitting in a comfortable position was drawn and the cabinet was then created in "computer space" to surround the body up to the neck, leaving approximately 4"-6" of space between the cabinet walls and the body. The 10 heater assemblies were placed so as to optimize heat transfer to the body: one heater located in the seat back, 5 placed on the angled inner door and 2 mounted on each side panel. This design surrounds the user with far infrared emitting surfaces providing unsurpassed evenness of heat. The close proximity of these far infrared emitters to the body drove two extremely important design innovations; greatly reduced EMF and a safety cover for the heaters. Ultra-Low EMF
After much research, testing and modification, the electromagnetic field (EMF) cancellation scheme for the heater circuitry was developed. This was done to address user concern about EMF dangers. EMF intensity experiments were done comparing these heaters with their EMF reduction technology, and with the same heaters that lacked the reduction invention, and also with a standard far infrared ceramic heater. The effectiveness of the EMF cancellation circuitry in the this heater is immediately apparent in the chart.
At close distances, as would be in a sauna, the experiment demonstrates how effective the heaters are at reducing EMF. They are near the ambient EMF readings or the room's EMF.
OPERATION
The controller has both temperature and time duration control functions. The temperature can be set between 100°F and 130°F. The duration can be set between 0 and 60 minutes. The heaters are at full temperature in 5–10 minutes, although some people prefer to wait 20–30 minutes for the cabinet to warm up before they begin their sauna session.
The sauna is equipped with a destratification fan to gently circulate the air and keep the cabinet's temperature even. The seat adjusts to fit anyone between 4' 6" and 6' 4". Weight limit is 250 pounds. Plugs into any standard household outlet — no special wiring needed and includes a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI).
Easy to clean. It wipes clean with a damp soft cloth using a mild non-abrasive soap and warm water.
