This trap uses proven mosquito attractants to draw the annoying and harmful insects away from where your loved ones gather. An easy-to-assemble, weatherproof unit, powerful enough to cover approximately one-half acre area around your home.

To achieve the best results from your Mosquito Trap Champion, you must leave it in operation full-time during the mosquito season. The trap is not meant for occasional use, such as during an outdoor party. While it will begin attracting and catching mosquitoes almost immediately, it will not immediately eliminate the problem as female mosquito's reproduce constantly throughout the spring and summer and their local population will be reduced over time as it continues to catch and kill female mosquitoes.

A capture of only a few mosquitoes daily will have a substantial future impact. In a few weeks you should notice a marked reduction in the mosquito population around the area, as well as a reduced number of mosquitoes in the trap. Since mosquito eggs can survive for several seasons, using the trap this season will also reduce the number of eggs hatching next season.

About Octenol

Octenol Mosquito Attractant is a naturally occurring byproduct that comes from plants and some animals, such as oxen and cows, that ingest large amounts of vegetable matter. Studies have shown that Octenol Mosquito Attractant is highly attractive to many species of mosquitoes, no-see-ums, and biting midges.

The Octenol Mosquito Attractant can be used with Koolatron/Lentek Mosquito Traps and electronic fly killers, as well as other products designed to attract and eliminate mosquitoes, and needs to be replaced every 21 days.

Please note: The cartridge which contains the Mosquito Attractant will not dissolve, but the Octenol Mosquito Attractant will evaporate and no longer be effective after 21 days. Be sure to replace attractant according to instructions. Octenol consists of a wax blend (to hold the consistency in the cartridge) with 1-Octen-3-ol (alcohol based fragrance).
