ReliaMed Digital TENS Unit

The ReliaMed Digital TENS pain relief and pain control device is easy to use and adjustable.

With a TENS unit (Transcutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulation), you are using very low electrical currents to control pain. Electrodes are placed on or near the region where you are feeling pain. Soothing mild electric pulses are sent through the electrodes through the skin and along the nerve fibers. The pulses, which you control at all times, suppress pain signals to the brain. TENS units use low frequencies (60 to 200 Hz)

TENS units also encourage the body to produce higher levels of its own natural pain killing chemicals - Endorphins and Encephalins. TENS can grant a patient welcome short term pain relief or for longer periods of time depending on the person and the injury.

Features of the ReliaMed ZZA320:

  • Channel:  Dual; isolated between channels.
  • Pulse Intensity:  Adjustable 0-80 mA peak into 500 Ω load each channel, constant current.
  • Pulse Rate:  1-160 Hz (adjustable), 1 Hz/step (1-20 Hz), 5 Hz/step (20-160 Hz).
  • Pulse Width:  50 μs-260 μs (adjustable), 10 μs/step.
  • Patient Compliance Meter:  Shows the treatment times in hours.
  • Patient Lock System:  Prevents the user from changing any fixed parameters set by the physician or licensed practitioner.
  • Software Ramp Up:  By changing mode, the output will reset to zero; then ramp up to its original setting intensity. This will protect users from a sudden surge.
  • Timer:  15-, 30- and 60-minute, plus continuous mode.
  • LCD:  Shows modes, pulse rate, pulse width, timer and CH1/CH2.
  • Comes complete with carry case, electrodes, lead wires, battery, belt clip and instructions

Function Modes:

  • B: Cycle Bursts. 2 bursts/sec., 9 pulses/burst, and 100 Hz; width is adjustable.
  • C: Continuous Mode. Pulse rate, pulse width and intensity are adjustable.
  • M: Modulated Width. Pulse width is automatically varied in a six-second interval. The modulation range of pulse width is from a setting value to 35% less than the control setting value, then returns to the setting value. Rate, width and intensity are fully adjustable.
  • SDR: Strength, Duration and Rate Modulation. SDR consists of alternating modulated intensity (amplitude) and pulse rate; meaning that one parameter is always increasing while the other is decreasing, and vice-versa. The stimulation intensity decreases 20% from the intensity control setting and returns to the setting value; while the pulse rate increases 45% from the modulated rate to the setting value, and returns to the modulated rate. Total cycle time is six seconds.  Rate, width and intensity are fully adjustable.
  • SDW: Strength, Duration and Width Modulation. SDW consists of alternating modulated intensity (amplitude) and pulse width; meaning that one parameter is always increasing while the other is decreasing, and vice-versa. The stimulation intensity decreases 20% from the intensity control setting and returns to the setting value; while the pulse width increases 54% from the modulated width to the setting value and returns to the original width. Total cycle time is 6 seconds. Rate, Width, and Intensity are adjustable.
