The
MVT Device is one of the most exciting technological developments in the search to help people relieve stress and pain. While almost all massage therapy is based on
macrovibration, the usual heavy thumping quality that produces well known beneficial effects, the MVT device uses
microvibration. The MVT supplies a special resonant acoustic sound, LED light and high frequency microvibration to produce remarkable physiologic responses.
What does the MVT device do?
The MVT device is a patented breakthrough technology that combines light, sound and MicroVibration that induces the cells to increase energy and communication, thereby rapidly relieving discomfort. In detail, it allows microvibrational energy to enter the body and be absorbed by cells. The energy strikes damaged tissue including skin, blood, muscle and bone, creating a cellular response, reducing discomfort and jump-starting the healing process.
How can the MVT device help me?
The MVT can improve muscle relaxation, help relieve discomfort and improve energy and sense of well being.
How often can I use the device?
The MVT can be used and repeated as often as needed to decrease the discomfort to a manageable level. Generally, most people use the MVT device three to six times daily. As pain decreases and the cell energy improves, the need for treatment will also decrease.
How is the MVT device best used?
Generally, the MVT is placed directly on the area of discomfort and held there, without moving it, for one to three minutes. The MVT is then moved to the next area. More about using the MVT may be found in the users’ manual.
What does it mean if my pain increases?
There are two general possibilities. First, if the area of discomfort being treated had a previous fracture or serious injury, the cells are still healing. The user may need to temporarily stop the treatment and allow the discomfort to diminish. Then repeat the application. Stop and repeat several more times. The discomfort should decrease and in many cases not return. The other scenario occurs when the patient may have a yet to be diagnosed impingement of a nerve. The MVT device may increase the discomfort, but it does not decrease quickly upon stopping application. In this case the patient should be referred to their medical practitioner for evaluation.
How is the MVT different from TENS and Ultrasound therapies?
The MVT does not rely on electrical impulses or microcurrent impulses to stimulate relief. Also, Ultrasound uses high frequency, high power sound to elicit relief. The MVT uses low level light, sound, and vibration, hence microvibration.
Are there any known adverse side-effects from using the MVT?
Very few side-effects have been noted. A few patients may note temporary nausea, dizziness, and sense of vibration.
How often do I need to change the batteries?
If one uses the MVT often, you may see a change in the intensity of the blue light, indicating the need to change batteries. We recommend to change batteries at least every two to three weeks depending on level of use.
What does the kit include?
The kit includes the MVT device and custom aluminum case, batteries and conduction gel/patches, demonstration video and instruction booklet.
Important things to remember:
- Treatment time and results vary from person to person.
- It is perfectly fine to experiment with treatment locations on your body. See what works best for you.
- Be patient. Some users require longer treatments than others. Consistent, frequent use yields best results.
- Consult the user manual. It contains detailed treatments for specific areas of pain.
- It is important that the unit head be in direct contact with the skin.
