Evaporative Air Coolers (Swamp Coolers)

Air is forced through a water moist pad and the resulting air is up to 30 degrees cooler. Great for dry climates and to increase humidity.

Promolife offers some of the most unique Evaporative Coolers available. We have MasterCool large capacity and MasterCool Portable units. The MasterCool line is designed for larger areas and have a large capacity holding tank (or continuous hose feed) for hours of use. Along with these we carry our highly popular line of Whirlwind Air Coolers which have an optional heater and air ionizer and come with ice packs to increase the efficiency of cooling. They are very easy to wheel around, are compact and use very little energy compared with typical Air Conditioners.

Before You Buy

Using an Evaporative Cooler
1. Be sure you have a cross flow of fresh air from a window. If no window or source of fresh air is available then your unit may not be as effective as you like.
2. If you are in a high humidity, high temperature area consider using a portable or window air conditioner that uses refrigerant to cool. We have many models available.
3. The following is a general formula to determine if an evaporative cooler will work in your situation:
If the Temperature plus the Humidity equals 140, (temp + humidity = 140) then an evaporative cooler is not going to do the job. In this case you will need an Air Conditioner.

How Evaporative Air Coolers Work
Hot outside air is drawn through a water soaked pad. Some of the water evaporates, cooling the air. The cooled air is then directed through vents into the living area. It is important to have a fresh flow of air coming into the area your cooling or the humidity will increase and the cooling effect will decrease. In order for the system to work efficiently, relative humidity must remain low.
