The successful therapy device for effectively treating benign prostate enlargement. The therapy device is a unit controlled by a micro-processor which heats a temperature-adjustable thermal element sealed in a rectal probe. This rectal probe, which is the shape of an elongated suppository, is introduced into the anal canal set at a temperature which is ideal and comfortable for the patient from 97 to 113 degrees F. The probe radiates pulsing heat waves for 20 minute periods at the desired temperature.

Maintaining a Healthy Prostate
The Prostate is a small gland in men that is located in front of the rectum and below the bladder. The tube (urethra) that carries urine from the bladder runs through the prostate. It is this biological design which becomes problematic for men. As the prostate gland never stops growing the majority of American men over the age of 60 begin to have their urethra pinched by the inflamed prostate. This pinching effect causes pain, the need for frequent urination, and a weak flow.
Prostate Disorders
There are three major ailments a prostate can develop:
1) Prostatitis
Acute Bacterial Prostatitis - It comes on quickly and is the easiest to treat. Symptoms include lower back and genital area pain. Painful urination is also common.
Chronic Bacterial Prostatitis - May have a reoccurring bladder infection. It may be caused by a defect within the prostate where bacteria collects in the urinary tract.
Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome - This is the most common, least understood form of Prostatitis. No infection is evident, yet the bodies fluids contain cells made to fight infection. Asymptomatic Inflammatory Prostatitis - This form is usually not detected until a doctor is looking for causes for infertility. The patient has no symptoms, yet there are infection fighting cells in the semen.
2) Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) -
With BPH the prostate gland grows in an area that does not have the space to allow for the expansion. This growth causes pressure on the urethra.
