The Short Stroke Mini Bike can help you build strength and balance and is great for rehabilitation.
The Short Stroke is in the process of an upgrade and will be available later in 2010. The custom-designed exercise bike attachment snaps on to the front crossbar of the Resistance Chair to give you additional cardio and leg exercise. In addition, you can attach resistance cables to the upright row bar for exercises such as rows and lateral pulls. The mini-bike includes an LCD display and adjusts for resistance level and leg length.
VQ ActionCare has designed the Short Stroke for people who want movement and blood flow as an exercise, rather than a brisk cardio workout. It's great for someone who wants to ride a mile or so each day and is looking for a cardio system that provides a very short range of motion. The total range of motion of your legs when pedaling is seven inches. The Short Stroke uses a specially designed belt driven system that allows you to pedal forward or in reverse and experience the same resistance in either direction. It also includes an upright row bar that enables you to use resistance cables for lateral pulls, rows, and other exercises for the upper body. An LCD displays a number of functions, including time, distance, speed, and calories.
The Short Stroke Mini-Bike is great for people looking to gain better balance and build strength, or for people recovering from a leg or hip injury who need an exercise system with a short range of motion. Of course, always check with your doctor before starting any new exercise program or using any new piece of equipment. The minimum height requirement for using the Short Stroke Mini Bike is at least 4 foot, 8 inches tall. Includes one set of "Level 5" resistance cables and owner's manual. Minimal assembly required.
