The Nova Moxa Lamp allows you to use moxa in your treatments without having to hold it on the skin.

The all new patented Moxa Lamp consists of a radiator and a supporting system. The head is made of three sets of tube grippers for holding moxa sticks, a heat reflecting cover; and a metal dust screen that is easy to open and close. The supporting system contains a flexible omni-directional arm, a height adjustable pole and a stable metal base.

Moxibustion becomes more convenient than ever with the Nova Moxa Lamp featuring the following advantages.

• High Heat Efficiency: There is a chambered heat-reflecting cover with thermal insulation design. The heat generated by the burning moxa sticks can be reflected fully onto the skin (acupoints) of the body.
• Easy to Control the Heat: You may keep moxa sticks at desired heat and at any appropriate distance from skin.
• Convenient to Operate: The head of the device is so flexible, omni-directed to apply moxibustion at will. And the pole can be conveniently adjusted up and down.
• Safe to Use: The device is tailored with a metal screen to prevent the burning moxa sticks or hot ash from burning the skin.  It is easy to remove the ash after use.
• More Applicable Usage: This device uses moxa sticks of all kinds, regular or smokeless (diameter 14 to 21mm).

How to use it

1. Ignite moxa stick with a lighter or moxa torch; put it into a tube gripper. You may use one, two or three moxa sticks at a time.
2. Check that you have closed the metal screen securely.
3. Aim the head of the device at the acupoint(s) of the body. Adjust appropriate distance to ensure safe operation without skin burn. Keep device at least 2 to 3 inches away from the skin. Safe distance varies by weather condition. Requires practitioner's full attention during operation.
4. Each moxa stick takes 20-30 minutes to burn from the tip to the gripper. Push the moxa stick further to the center to run another 20-30 minutes. Otherwise, simply put out the remaining moxa sticks.
5. When moxibustion is done, take the remaining end of the moxa stick when it becomes cold, out of the tube with a clipper if the moxa stick is too short to grab by hand and dispose of it or keep for next session.
6. Finally, loosen the screw (G); open the screen and remove the moxa ash when the metal screen gets completely cold.

Maintenance and Care

1. Use the product in a dry and clean environment.
2. It is normal that ash stains persevere after initial use. Clean regularly with a dry cloth or paper towel when the device is not in use.

Cautions:

• The Noxa Moxa Lamp is developed for use ONLY by licensed practitioners of acupuncture as determined by the states.
• Do not let the heated part of the product touch your skin or hair. In case of burn, immediate medical action should be taken.
• Caution must be always given to push the burning moxa stick(s) to the center of the device before it burns to the edge of tube gripper or simply put it out by removing the burning moxa stick slowly and carefully.
• Do not open the screen while moxibustion proceeds.
• Do not shake or hit the device when it is in use.
• Do not place or cover the head of the device with objects of any type.
• Do not let patients fall asleep during treatment.
• Extinguish the burning moxa sticks to avoid fire hazard after use.
• Warning is labeled on the device. Hot Surface. Avoid Contact. Requires Practitioner Full Attendance in Session.  Follow safety measures all the time.
• The screws and fasteners in this (and any) Moxa Lamp must be periodically inspected and tightened to ensure safe operation.
