Flat plates do not use current effectively as most of the current flows around the edges and leaves the center mostly unused.  Mesh solves that problem but minerals can collect in it.  Slotted plates use the entire plate surface without having to use mesh.

You get 16 stages of water filtration including  ion resin exchange to help remove fluoride.  Pure coral calcium is used to put beneficial minerals into the water in just the right amount.  Ceramic balls, antibacterial felt, activated carbon and sediment filters clean the water before it is even ionized.  The filters are medical grade and sulphite free.

NOTE: Water Ionizers will not effectively work if you have an ion exchange water softener or if you have high amounts of iron and/or sulfur.   A standard water faucet is required to install countertop units.
