Cooling Vests keep you cool for hours in high heat environments. Great for firemen, miners, sports players and others. Ideal for people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
The HeatShield Cool Vest is designed to protect you from high heat situations. The patented cooling vest provides incredibly powerful air conditioning that goes wherever you do, and it has been tested by fire. Only our cooling vest uses the power of two phase shifts to keep personnel both cool and dry.
The HeatShield Cooling Vest incorporates a design that wicks away moisture, condensing and channeling it out of the vest, providing the cooling power of two phase shifts. Look around and you will see our vests used in industries and by people like these:
- Firefighters
- HazMat Workers
- Air National Guard
- Welders
- HVAC Technicians
- Roofers
- Construction Workers
- Body Shop Workers
- Painters
- Refinery Workers
- Warehouse Personnel
- Chemical Plant Personnel
- Patients with heat intolerance (Multiple Sclerosis patients)
Easy to use and incredibly effective.
Just freeze the cool vest overnight, slip it on and enjoy hours of air conditioning. The cool vest is designed to be frozen over and over in a common freezer yet maintains a comfortable temperature next to the body. Our vest is lighter, more comfortable, more flexible and more effective than any competing vest.
Features of the Cooling Vest:
- Improves productivity (25% or more)
- Helps with OSHA heat compliance
- Fire Resistant - Certified by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers
- Patented design keeps you cool and dry
- The power of two phase shifts provides long-lasting cooling
- Significant cooling for up to five hours in 100 degree environments
- Engineered to be 80% lighter than competing vests (weighs 3.85 lbs)

Why you might want a cooling vest:
Extreme heat is a safety issue, a liability issue and a serious productivity issue. Heat has become a top enforcement priority for OSHA and most businesses are in violation of the OSHA regulations.
People who are overly hot have been demonstrated to be significantly less productive. Researchers in Holland documented a 26% productivity increase by cooling the individual. The United States Navy experienced a 100% increase in effective work time by introducing proper cooling in high heat environments. Additionally, many industries experience dramatic increases in employee absenteeism turnover and training costs during heat spells; a cooling vest can help turn these numbers around.
For Emergency First Responders
Worker productivity in most businesses is just about money. For First Responders it means a whole lot more - like saving a life, whether those of a victim, a fellow rescue worker or the firefighter. The HeatShield vest is designed to dramatically extend the length of time a First Responder can function effectively and has been demonstrated to double firefighter productivity.
Where does the HeatShield vest get its cooling power?
The cooling best relies on two patented technologies that deliver the cooling power of two phase shifts. The patented synthetic ice core delivers incredible cooling and keeps you dry. Used continuously or sporadically (during breaks) the HeatShield vest keeps you cool. The vest also has been used with great results in a rehab environment to cool people who are already overheated or are suffering from heat stroke.
How is the HeatShield vest charged?
The HeatShield cooling vest must be fully frozen to deliver the most effective power. Typical freezers vary, but you can expect recharge times of five to six hours in a 'household' freezer, approximately three to four hours gets the job done in a commercial style freezer. Some works buy more extra cooling packs, freeze them overnight, and keep them in a sealed ice chest until they're needed.
How will I know if the HeatShield is fully charged?
The individual cells in the patented synthetic ice core will freeze solid and become hard. Even when they are hard the vest remains flexible.
What makes the HeatShield better than the competition?
The vest uses a patented design that is lighter, thinner, more flexible and more comfortable than anything else available anywhere. The vest is incredibly durable and is constructed to give you years of service. It's built tough, with a fireproof Indura UltraSoft outer shell, Nomex stitching, a radiant heat barrier, a patented synthetic ice core, a moisture barrier and a hydrophobic quilted liner. It will stand up to extreme situations and last and last.
What if one of the cells in the synthetic ice core gets punctured?
All the materials are non-toxic and each cell is completely sealed off from the others. The vest is over-engineered and will perform perfectly with as many as ten punctured and empty cells in the core. So if one cell breaks, the rest are still working and the HeatShield remains completely functional.
If you need to stay cool when you're working or otherwise in a heated situation, the HeatShield cooling vest is a great choice.
