How does the HealthMate Plus filter the air?

The Plus offers the most comprehensive air cleaning, getting rid od chemicals, sub-micron particles and noxious gases.  Each minute, it pulls over 250 cubic feet of air from all sides of the unit and passes it through a super four stage filter that includes over 60 feet of true medical grade HEPA and 15 pounds of activated carbon that is impregnated with potassium iodide.  Because it pulls air in from all four sides, your air gets cleaner faster.

The Four Stage Filter

In stage one air passes through a large particle pre-filter to remove dust, hair, pet dander and the like.  In stage two it goes through a medium particle pre-filter that removes mold, pollen, spores and small to medium size particles.  In stage three, it goes through fifteen pounds of zeolite and activated carbon with potassium iodide, which removes gases, chemicals and odors.  It then passes through 60 feet of true medical grade HEPA which removes bacteria, viruses and other micro-organisms.
