Quality Doulton Drinking Water Filter System for Rural Water - keep your water clean from the start.

The HCP210 is two in-line pressure filter housings molded from Acetal and Polyester materials. The housings are fitted into a free standing base for counter top use. The unit is readily attached to an existing cold water faucet via a DV3003 diverter valve and a length of flexible tubing (supplied). This unit requires no permanent modifications to be attached to a kitchen or bathroom faucet. The diverter valve allows filtered or unfiltered water to be drawn from the existing faucet at the press of a button.

This system includes: a cleanable Doulton Ceramic Drinking Water Filter cartridge: CU1200 UltraCarb Doulton Ceramic Candle for the first housing and a disposable CM1500 VOC/Lead cartridge for the second housing.

To clean, service or replace either the CU1200 ceramic or CM1500 disposable cartridge, the "sump" (white section) is simply unscrewed. The sump is pressure sealed with an "O" ring, therefore no tools are required to loosen or tighten the sump into place. Hand pressure is sufficient. Flow rate is .5GPM@30PSI. Application: This system is designed as the quality standard for homes fed by well, surface or Chlorinated Municipal water and constructed with a PVC plumbing supply. This system is very effective for homes which are fed by lead lined or asbestos concrete reinforced water supply mains in their city.

This cartridge combination provides: 100% rejection of Bacteria and Cysts; Depth filtration of particulate >.2 micron (dirt, asbestos, iron etc); Outstanding long life VOC/Chemical rejection plus increased improvement in Taste and Odor and Lead reduction.

Filter Replacement Guide:

CU1200 - Super Sterasyl Ceramic Candle. Self sterilizing for the removal of organics, inorganics, lead, VOC's and heavy metals. Ideal for bacteria sterilization. Must be used before other filters if used with well or other non treated water.

CM1500 - Carbon matrix. High efficiency organic VOC reduction and removes MTBE's and Lead.
This carbon block filter consists of carbon particles fused into a uniform block with enhanced absorption.

This product is EPA registered and exempt, and is silver impregnated and will not permit bacteria grow-through (mitosis).  It provides a hostile environment for all microbiological organisms and won’t support their growth.  Ceramic elements may be cleaned 100 or more times with a soft brush or 3M Scotchbrite.

Why Ceramic?

Doulton ceramic is made from Kieselguhr Diatomaceous Earth and fired to above 1000 degrees Celsius. Over 80,000 overlapping pores make up each element. This feature provides absolute mechanical filtration to .9 of a micron. 99.999% rejection of bacteria and cysts. Bacteria and any other foreign particles as small as .2 of a micron are trapped on the outside of the element while the water passes through the ceramic wall to the inside of the element.
 

Why Bacteriostatic?

This simply means self sterilizing. The entire ceramic wall is impregnated with oligodynamic silver. Silver has been long proven as a disinfectant which insures that bacteria trapped in the ceramic's pores are killed thereby eliminating any threat of bacteria colonization.

Inside the Ceramic shell is a post filter which is manufactured by combining a zeolite metal ion reduction medium, granular carbon and powdered carbon to form a tightly packed matrix.
