Scientifically-based

A group of scientists studied a variety of breathing exercises for 20 years, including Buteyko and Holotropic breathing.  Results showed that all breathing exercises had a therapeutic effect, some more than others.  They discovered that slower and calmer breathing lets the body use more of its resources.  An average human breathes 17 breaths per minute, but by adapting the body to instead take no more than 10 breaths every minute, you can get an increase in your vital energy of 40%, even increasing your lifespan.
