Control the Cleaning
The ionic purifier starts automatically as you turn the unit on. Negative ions can be created around the clock to keep down dust and particulates.
The activated oxygen has a separate control. Activated oxygen is normally kept at modest levels in occupied spaces. To remove major odors, the unit may be adjusted to a higher level for a period of time. Some use a timer to completely deodorize the home or office while away. Unused ozone (O3) reverts back to oxygen (O2) in about an hour.
The LightingAir Air Purifier Is So Easy to Use
LightningAir units are totally portable. Just plug in and start to enjoy clean, mountain-fresh air for only pennies a day. Activated oxygen plates are removed through slots in the back of the unit and can be washed with a cleaner with bleach for easy maintenance.
HINT: If you desire a larger coverage area, we recommend purchasing two units and placing them on opposite ends of the room. This is more effective than using one large unit.
Dust Filter Included
This is an add on filter to help filter dust particles and helps keep the inside of the ozone unit cleaner. It easily screws on to the back side of your LightningAir unit.
Ozone Generation
Double Cold Plasma Dialectic Plate generation: Ozone output varies dramatically with the level of humidity, temperature and other environmental factors. Output is regulated by a manual variable setting.
Ozone Plate Maintenance
The ozone plate on the LightningAir unit requires cleaning from time to time. It is best to clean with warm water, dish soap and a toothbrush (be careful not to crack or break the ceramic plate or it will no longer function). Using Fantastic with Bleach has also been reported to work great. DO NOT use oven cleaner of any kind or any other type of caustic cleaner. If you are trying to remove smoke, you will need to clean the plate more often. Also if in a smokey environment, it will be required to remove the front fan grill and clean the ionizer needle and keep the wire contact wires clean as smoke creates a sticky, tarry film over time. Three Year Warranty
For up to three years from the original date of purchase LightningAir will replace any defective part due to manufacturing defect at no charge. The customer is responsible for labor charges and for safely shipping the unit to the Service Center.
LightningAir will return the unit via UPS ground at no charge to the customer. LightningAir purifiers are serviced and warranted by the LightningAir Service Center in Thomasville, Georgia. For up to 90 days from original date of purchase, LightningAir will replace or repair the product without charge to the customer should the unit prove to have a manufacturing defect. Simply call LightningAir for authorization (contact info will be included with unit) and for UPS pickup.
